The island nation of Sri Lanka is famous for Buddhist monasteries, natural beauties, beaches and tea plantation. During the tour, you will visit a typical Sri Lanka village and enjoy few activities there. UNESCO World heritage site Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress and has some of the best maintained ancient ruins. Enjoy Buddhist sites of Kandy, tea production center of Nuwara Eliya, Horton Plains National Park, Gregory Lake etc. You will also be enjoying the visit of Elephant orphanage center and some incredible spice and herbal plantation near Kandy.

    DAY 1 : KATUNAYAKE / HABARANA (150KM/03H30)

    Arrival at the international airport in Colombo.

    Meeting with representative and transfer to Habarana. Arrival and check-inn at hotel.

    The afternoon is devoted to a Village Safari Tour, interesting experience that will allow you to put you in contact with the rural life of the local population. The excursion will be done using the local usual means, you begin to edge of the typical tuk tuk, you continue on bullock carts and then a boat ride.

    DAY 2 : HABARANA / SIGIRIYA / POLONNARUWA / HABARANA (120KM/03H00)

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Morning excursion to the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. Located 300 meters high, was built on top of a monolith of red stone that dominates a harmonious set of gardens. The palace built on the summit is reached by a narrow staircase those winds through the huge paws of a stone lion. Lunch during the excursion. In the afternoon excursion to Polonnaruwa, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Sri Lanka. Architectural complex consisting of temples, palaces and a beautiful swimming pool in the shape of a lotus flower.

    DAY 3 : HABARANA / ANURADHAPURA / HABARANA (120KM/03H00)

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Excursion to Anuradhapura the oldest capital of Sri Lanka. Founded in 380 BC, occupied an area of over 40 square kilometers. Unfortunately in this city are only scattered ruins of palaces and monasteries in a rather large area because most of the buildings were built with wood and clay, only the facilities dedicated to the Buddhist religion were built in stone. Lunch at Anuradhapura. Continuation of visits to the most interesting places in the area including: Ruwanwelisaya, Abegiriya, Twin Ponds, Lankaramaya. Return to the hotel.

    DAY 4 : HABARANA / KANDY (100KM/02H30)

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Departure to Kandy, stopping along the way to visit the Dambulla Cave Temples, religious-historical UNESCO site. Dambulla is believed to have been founded in the first century BC King Vattaganemani and is known for its caves and 150 Buddha statues. Continuation and stop at spice garden in Matale, to discover the fragrant spices of the island and also where you will be offered a massage with herbs (head or feet) lasting 10 minutes. Lunch at Spice Garden. Arrival in Kandy, check in at your hotel.

    Afternoon visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth of Buddha, containing the most revered relic in Sri Lanka, and retaining extraordinary testimonies of the past with its greatest symbol of Buddhism. Before returning to the hotel, stopping to watch a performance of local cultural dances.

    DAY 5 : KANDY

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Visit the beautiful gardens Botanical Peradenya, located 6 km from Kandy which extend over an area of 60 acres. These gardens are considered among the richest in the world for the variety of ornamental species and spices that host. Afterwards continue to Pinnawela Orphanage, famous for the protection of orphaned elephants who are lost from the wild. Lunch in Pinnawela. In the afternoon return to Kandy and the rest of the afternoon off further visits or shopping.

    DAY 6 : KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA (90KM/03H00)

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Departure for Nuwara Elyia, along the way stop at a tea plantation and factory. Lunch at restuarant en route. Check-in the hotel. In the afternoon walk-tour of this colonial town, situated at the foot of the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, the Pidurutalagala, in one of the most scenic areas of the tour.

    DAY 7 : NUWARA ELIYA / COLOMBO (165KM/05H00)

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Departure for Nuwara Elyia, along the way stop at a tea plantation and factory. Lunch at restuarant en route. Check-in the hotel. In the afternoon walking tour of this colonial town, situated at the foot of the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, the Pidurutalagala, in one of the most scenic areas of the tour.

    In time transfer to airport for flights to onward destination.
