Pokhara is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal. Many tourists visit Pokhara Valley to see the Himalayan range and lakes. Pokhara is also famous for boating, trekking, rafting and extreme sports like rafting, canoeing and bungee jumping. Bhaktapur is an ancient city and is renowned for its elegant art, fabulous culture, colorful festivals, traditional dances and indigenous lifestyle of Newari community. This is a complete programme that encompasses all the important ingredients of tourism in Nepal.

Morning visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayamhbunath.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Listed as one of the eight Cultural World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square is cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The visit of Durbar Square includes the temple of Living Goddesses, who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence, the Hanuman Dhoka Royal Palace, the historic seat of the Royalty; the magnificent Taleju Temple towering 40 meters.
Swayambhunath: Located approximately 4 km west of Kathmandu, this Buddhist stupa is said to be 2500 years old, the stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.
Afternoon proceed to visit Patan. Situated 5 km from Kathmandu, Patan is also known as Lalitpur, the city of fine arts, enclosed within four stupas said to be built in 3rd century AD, by Emperor Ashoka. The city retains much of the old charm with its narrow streets, brick houses and multitude of well-preserved Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries (vihars) and monuments. A trip to the Tibetan Refugee Camp and the Handicraft Center will also be done while visiting Patan, where you will witness the hand weaving of Tibetan carpets and molding of metal statues.

Drive to Changunarayan for approx. 45 minutes. Changunarayan - The Temple of Changunarayan is situated on the ridge overlooking Bhaktapur at a distance of 15 Kms East of Kathmandu, is universally acknowledged as the most stately example of the oldest specimens of Pagoda architecture in Nepal from early 3rd century. The temple dating from the Lichhavi period is embellished with exquisite wood and stone carvings. After short visit start walking towards Telkot for approx. 2.5 to 3 hrs through local village and forest. Continue drive to Nagarkot. Check-in at hotel. Evening view sunset (subject to weather permit). Nagarkot: is situated about 32 km East of Kathmandu, popular hill station for sunrise and sunset. Nagarkot commands one of the broadest views of Himalayas (subject to weather permit) in the Kathmandu valley (8 out of 13 in Nepal) such as Annapurna Range, Manaslu Range, Ganesh Himal Range, Langtang Range, Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Range, Mahalangur Range (Everest Range) and Numbur Range with views of Kathmandu Valley and Shivapuri National Park. The altitude of Nagarkot is 2229 m above sea level. From here different hikes (short hikes/day hikes)/trek can be done.

Bhaktapur: Perched on a hill at an altitude of 1,401 m, Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon literally city of Devotees, is a major tourist destination. It has managed to retain its brick paved roads, charming red brick houses and way of life that goes back to medieval times. Here you will visit Nyatapola dedicated to tantric goddess, Bhairabh Temple dedicated to Bhariav-the god of terror, Pottery square, The 15th Century Palace of 55 carved windows, Golden Gate etc.

Drive to Chitwan. Upon arrival check-in at resort/hotel. The Chitwan National park, the lush Valley of Chitwan situated in the foothills of Churia ranges, houses the first National Park of the country. The Royal Chitwan National Park is famous for its variety of Wildlife especially the Great Indian One horned Rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. It is a truly wildlife adventure of a different kind-jungle safaris on elephant backs or jeeps, bird watching, canoe rides and jungle walks. It was enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage site (Natural) in 1984 and covers an area of 932 sq. km. En-route lunch at a local restaurant.

Drive to Pokhara. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to walk around lake side. Pokhara; The rare combination of snow-clad peaks and snow fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the valley of Pokhara one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the kingdom. The altitude of Pokhara varies from 780 m to 1350 m. It is located virtually in the geographical center of Nepal. Located on the main road between Kathmandu and Bhairahawa, there may be no other place in the world from where Great Himalayas peaks can be admired from such a close distance. Three out of ten highest mountains in the world; Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu – are within a linear distance of 50 km from the city. Phewa Lake, Skirted by a large numbers of unpretentious lodges and simple restaurant, is the most congenial spot for visitors. Due to its proximity to the Annapurna mountain range, the city is also a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit.

Early morning visit Sarangkot to view sunrise over Himalayas (subject to weather permit).
Sarangkot: It offers the breath taking panoramic views of the Annapurna Mountain Range. Situated very close to Pokhara town, it is a semi-developed village located on a hilltop. One has to leave early in the morning while it is still dark to catch the sunrise. It has great views in all directions. Return hotel visiting Bindebasini temple en-route. Bindebashini Temple is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara. Legend says that when Pokhara was a part of Kaski Kingdom, the main deity of the temple, Goddess Durga, was brought from India. The temple is in the area of the Bazaar; hence, a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple.

Later boat ride on Phewa Lake for approx. 45 minutes and continue walk towards Buddhist stupa. Cross the lake by boat and commence uphill walk for approx. 1.5 hrs.
World Peace Stupa: The World Peace Pagoda of Pokhara is one of the many similar stupa scattered around Nepal and other places in the world where harmony, compassion and non-violence foundation of Buddhism is practice. Built with the intention of spreading the message of peace after witnessing the devastating aftermath of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, NichidastsuFujii, the founder of Nipponzan-Myohoji Buddhist Order.
After spending sometime walk down to vehicle waiting point. Drive to hotel en-route visiting Davis Fall and Gupteshwor Cave. Davis fall's: Witness a unique waterfall that lies 2 Km from central Pokhara City. The water fall directly goes into a deep and narrow canal with no ends.
Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is probably the longest and attractive cave in south Asia which is located at the pristine location of northwestern part of Pokhara, a world famous tourist destination in Gandaki zone and Kaski district. Ancestors called this place as desolate Khatri Tara. This cave was formally established in 1994, which is a religious and touristic destination and called as Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.
