In this programme you will be able to soak all the important ingredients of the tourism in Karnataka. You will land in the silicon valley of India and after a brief orientation tour proceed to a long haul tour that will features historical  monuments, pilgrimage centres, palaces, temples, mosque, coffee plantations and world heritage sites of erstwhile Vijaynagar Empire. The tour will culminate at a famous beach destination Goa where you will have free time to relax and recollect what you all have visited before taking flight to your own homeland.

    DAY 1 : ARRIVE BANGALORE

    Upon arrival at Bangalore airport you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

    DAY 2 : BANGALORE / MYSORE (140 KM/03H30)

    Day start with orientation tour of Bangalore that includes Vidhana Sabha, a granite structure made using colonial designs, the famous landmarks Cubbon Park, Tipu Sultan’s Palace etc. Visit of Lalbagh botanical Garden, This 240 acre expanse of greenery forms one of India’s most beautiful botanical gardens, blessed with some rare trees brought from far off Persia, Afghanistan and France.

    After visit drive to Mysore, en-route visit Srirangapatanam, the historic capital of Tipu Sultan known for his struggle against British rule. Continue your drive to Mysore.

    DAY 3 : MYSORE

    Excursion to Somnathpur: situated in the unobtrusive village of Somnathpur, 35 km from Mysore, the exquisitely carved, star-shaped temple with triple towers is a perfect example of Hoysala architecture. Later back to Mysore & visit the Palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The palace is a harmonious synthesis of the Hindu and Saracenic styles of architecture. Later visit local Devaraj Market: a colourful market selling vegetables, fruits, flowers, conical pile of kumkum (coloured powder used for religious purpose as well for decoration in front of houses & temples).

    DAY 4 : MYSORE / COORG (120 KM/03H00)  

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Morning drive up to Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple and have a panoramic view of Mysore from the top of the hill. On way back, pass through the impressive statue of Nandi Bull. Later drive to Coorg, a little town in Southern Karnataka, cradled in the Western Ghats. Arrival and check in at hotel. Bylakuppe monestry (Golden temple), This Place is one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India. There are around 16000 refugees and nearly 6000 monks and nuns in this monastery. This Tibetan settlement at Bail Koppa or Bylakuppe is the second largest Tibetan settlement outside Tibet. Visit coffee palantation. Coorg is the place to produce one of the best coffee of the world.

    DAY 5 : COORG / SHRAVANBELGOLA / BELUR / HELIBID / HASSAN (260 KM/06H00)

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Visit Sravanabelagola, climb up 600 steps to see Gomateshwara, a Jain saint statue carved out of single granite piece. Later depart to Hassan and check-in at the hotel. Proceed to visit Belur – Chennakeshava temple, built by Hoysala Vishnuvardhana to commemorate his victory over the Cholas. Later visit Halebid, 27 kms away from Hassan and was the capital of the Hoysalas. It has one of the finest Hoysala temples. Its walls are richly carved with an endless variety of Hindu deities, sages, stylized animals, birds and friezes depicting the life of the Hoysala Kings.

    DAY 6 : HASSAN / HOSPET / HAMPI (310 KM/07H00)

    Drive to Hospet, located on the bank of the Tungahadra River and is 12 km from Hampi. On the way visit of local village. Arrival and check in at hotel. Rest of the day free for personal activities.

    DAY 7 : HAMPI

    Visit the sites of Hampi, the last capital of the last great Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar. Begin with the visit of Lord Ganesh’s statue, monolithic statue of Narasimha, Vittala Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site).Continue with the visit of Royal Enclosure visiting Zenana enclosures, elephant stables, Queen’s Bath, Lotus Mahal, Underground Virupaksha temple, Zenana’s enclosures. (UNESCO World Heritage Site) etc... Return to the hotel.

    DAY 8 : HAMPI / AIHOLE / PATTADAKKAL / BADAMI / HUBLI (270KM/06H00)

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Drive to Aihole – drive past dry and plain agricultural land of millet, sunflower and groundnut to visit the 6th century temples the early Chalukyas. Next drive to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage site to visit the Virupaksha temple, Mallikarjuna temple & the Papanath temple. Drive to Badami. Visit Badami Caves (UNESCO), a complex of temples and Cave tempels carved out of the sandstone hills above & considered as an example of Indian rock-cut architecture. Then continue to Hubli, is a comercial and industrial town. Arrival and check in at hotel.

    DAY 9 : HUBLI / GOA (160 KM/04H00)

    Drive to Goa, a state in western India with coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea. Its long history as a Protuguese colony prior to 1961 is evident in its preserved 17th – century churches.
